Our economy and industry have gone through quite a lot of challenges and advances in the past year.
SPE Flexible Packaging Division board members, officers and volunteers have been working hard to drive our profession to the next new level. In our industry, we continue to innovate for more sustainable materials, circular packaging solutions, and environmentally friendly designs to meet the new demands.
As I shared with you last year about our goals, I’m proud to say that we have successfully achieved a big feat in hosting our own stand-alone topical FlexPackCon® 2023 that took place on Oct. 10-12, 2023 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with full registration, keynotes, technical presentations, sponsorships & tabletop exhibitions, and student poster session. Our Division also contributed to four technical sessions in SPE International Polyolefins Conference 2023 – another well attended, sponsored, accolated conference. We will continue to partner with SPE South Texas Section for their February 18-21, 2024 Conference in Galveston, TX.
Another exciting event is the SPE’s Annual Technical Conference ANTEC® 2024 in St. Louis, MO from March 4-7, 2024, that will showcase the latest advances in industrial, national, laboratory, and academic work focused on plastics and polymer science.
We continue to establish communication channels and contents by adding updated content relating to flexible packaging industry, conferences, events, technical development, best papers, regulatory & compliance updates.
