Our Focus:
The demands on flexible packaging are continually evolving as the diversity of products sold in flexible packaging continues to expand, and as the channels through which consumers purchase these products evolve. Flexible packaging is composed of a broad range of highly-engineered and sophisticated film structures designed to contain products while providing shelf appeal, convenience to the consumer, physical protection, and barrier properties tailored to maximizing the shelf life of the products being packaged, while minimizing impact on the environment
Our Mission:
Promote the knowledge and education of flexible plastic packaging worldwide and provide a forum for technical exchange of information and developments related to the production, conversion, and end-use applications of plastic packaging materials and equipment. Among the ways in which we accomplish this, we sponsor scholarships, hold an annual conference – FlexPackCon® and organize sessions at ANTEC®.
About Our Division:
The SPE Flexible Packaging Division has over 350 members from around the world representing many of the world’s leading companies at all levels in the value chain, from brand owners, to processors/converters, resin manufacturers, machinery builders, research institutions, and service providers. Members include a Rising Star under 35, numerous SPE Fellows, and a Plastics Hall of Fame inductee.
